goodNite - Alarm Clock Night Light App Reviews

This app is a no go. Because to work you have to leave it on all night. So it uses off the battery until the device goes off. So to make it work you have to keep the device plugged on to the charger which will kill the battery. I want a refund.

I d liked the free version and bought the full version. But there is no background functionality, so it is useless for me. You have to keep the ipad on the holy time to get alarm and alarm is not working if you have a magnetic cover that shuts the ipad down. What a shame today ( 2015 ) And please give us a knop to deactivate the automatic light dimmer. Every time i use the app i have to put the light down again because it sets my dimmer on top. That is ugly. 5 stars if this is done...

This is similar to night stand ( the other clock app ) but this one has some added features - flexible control over changing the font colors and big bonus is the clap sound or snap fingers to turn on the backlight although this isnt as sensitive as it should be. Good first try and some things to add: A) better quality alarm sounds - sounds are poorly recorded and sound tinny. B) better selection of alarm sounds. C) clap activation sensitivity control. D) ability to change backlight colors and dimming E) ability to fix portrait and landscape so tilt doesnt change it. So far so good but room for improvement

This would be so much more useful if it didnt reset the brightness every single time you touch it. I use it (or tried to) to monitor the time when my baby wakes during the night and then for a bit of light to feed him by. But then it is really annoying that the app goes super bright each time I use it. Plus it resets the overall brightness of the phone each time, which is not what I want to do.

Take away the zero not 01:00 but 1:00 then it will get 5 stars have a setting to disable am pm and to disable date and day but over all good app

loved the idea of an alarm - but does not always work - no way to increase volume of ringer - set it to catch a flight and did not go off - just not reliable

Works well, but the iTouch volume isnt very loud. Its nice that it starts off quiet and gradually gets louder, just not loud enough.

VERY nice clock to have at the bedside, espcially with the options for font color and background color. This would be a 5 star app if it has the following features: 1. Ability to change alarm tone. The piano is just okay, but you hard sleepers may sleep through it. It does get gradually louder which is nice. 2. Ability to change how long snooze time is. Right now its a minute. Standard is usually 5 minutes. It is nice that all you have to do is touch the screen to initiate snooze. Just wish there were options to make it slightly longer. I give it 3 stars because it works in landscape, will not light up your room and is .99. Add those two features and this will easily be the top selling clock.

It would be better if you took off the date and the seconds. Like it. It would get five stars if you could put or remove the date and seconds.

This is a great app and wakes me up in the morning, but sometimes I dont want to wake up to a piano. I would give it 5 stars if u can lets us use the music on r ipods or give us a choice of different sounds

The alarm needs to be louder and I want the snooze time to be ajustable plus I think that we should be able to use the music we have as the alarm

I just used this application on a trip where I shared a room with another exhibitor. This was perfect as I was able to use the built-in flashlight and not disturb my roomate. Fantastic app- looking forward to updates!

With all the updates this is a very useful alarm clock. The only thing you need to remember is to plug your phone into AC power. I recommend this!!

Awesome but it should have a feature where it shows yoi a countdown of how many hours you have until the alarm goes off. :-))))

On update: I thought that new alarm rings would be great but the five new tones are only just ok. Definitly need more or even better--if you could record your own sounds like some apps!! That would fix Apples Whatever.. Would be 10 plus stars then!!!!! Could wake up to sounds of grandkids or whatever you choose..hint hint.:) Oh one other little thing :-) needs a button some where to make nite lite stay on when you need it too. For like trips to BRoom. For us older gen..LOL. After all it is a nite lite tooo..this is headed for #1on app.store. Watch it roar ;-) Been telling all my friends already!! Please update soon. Get it while its .99. Can see this being 5 bucks soon !!!! PS hope updates stay free. Old review: Needs more sounds and want to be able to snap for lite when alarm is sounding. That should have been a given. Also needs to be louder. Please fix these. I do like it and look forward to updates.ps. Cheaper than a clapper. LOL.. Can be 5 stars if updated.

I would however like for it to go off even when the application isnt running, but its still nice. Also a nice update would be for the alarm to play music from your iPod. However it didnt say it did that so I wont deduct stars for that.

I bought this app and installed it. It did not work for me at all. I could not find the settings dialog to turn on the alarm. It is just useless. I would like to get my money back. Total rip off.

I dont know whose fault it is, but this program doesnt work on my iPhone3G. It somehow causes it to stop charging overnight, the display goes off after awhile and is useless as a night table time piece. Despite its potential, its too bad they are selling it without checking these basics....

A pleasant alarm to wake up to (better that the standard iPod Touch ones). But I wish that the playlist timer option was longer. I listen to a white noise playlist while I sleep, and would prefer to have it playing for more than 60 minutes (absolute silence wakes me up). If there was a way to not have the timer enabled, this would be what Ive been searching for ever since the creation of the apps began. Keeping my fingers crossed that it will be in the next update.

Update: I gave an extra star because the new update is fantastic. Cant wait to see what else develops in this app! --------------original review------------------ I like the snapping function and the fact it comes with an alarm! The alarm could be louder though. I also like the continual work the programers are putting into this app. Im excited to use the new changes, and I have faith that this app will get better in time. Why not five stars? Allow the alarm to play my morning playlist and when I dont want to wake to music allow a more dissonant alarm to get me up (Im a heavy sleeper). Other than that, I highly recommend this product for what it is so far, and what it can be --given the apparent dedication of the programers.
